If you’re seeking a less-crowded getaway that still offers first-class accommodations, Yelapa is the destination for you. A short boat trip from Puerto Vallarta will take you to this hidden gem in the Bahia de Banderas Bay.

General Information

Yelapa is a small village roughly 50 miles south of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The area enjoys a temperate climate year-round, which makes it a great place to visit in all seasons. It is situated on the western coast of Mexico, where the best beaches in the world can be found.

It is possible to drive to Yelapa. It is faster, however, to travel by boat. Whichever method you choose, don’t worry about renting a vehicle.
